10 important songs mp3 by Davido

Since the release of his debut single in 2011, Davido’s career has continued to grow, with no expectation of it anytime soon.

Although the label boss has an official studio album and an ep in his name, he has an impressive hit catalog.

Last year, Davido mapped important awards and continued in the same way in 2018. With his second year effort and the constant release of new music from his DMW family, the talented act not only seemed to have a master plan on how to take over the scene, but monopolize it.

What were the songs that really put him on that footing? Of the more than 50 favorites that were crucial to consolidating his place in the Nigerian music industry.

It was an effort, but Pulse List can play through the artist’s many jewels and present the 10 most important Davido songs that have shaped his successful career.

1. If – 2017

“If” by davido immediately became a soundtrack for every event after its release in February 2017, and has since garnered over 4 million streams on Spotify and 62.8 million YouTube views.

The single started off on social media and traditional platforms and quickly reached a kind of pop culture ubiquity that few artists can boast. It also dominated the conversation not only on social media, but also on the street with immediate buzz words / prayer points such as “30 billion for the account”. The buzz after ‘If’ was so big that R & B legend R.Kelly played in the playback of his version.

After winning the record, Davido won several awards, including “Best Worldwide Act” and “Best African Act” (MTV EMA), “Artist of the Year” and “Song of the Year” for “If” (AFRIMMA Awards in Dallas, Texas, USA). Not to be confused with AFRIMA (Lagos), the winner, the hottest song of the year (If) and the Afropop Male Act of the Year (NEA Awards), the Best African Act 2017 (MOBO Awards), where he also became the first African artist to play during the event.

At the beginning of this year, “If” also received a diamond certification from the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA).

2) Fall – 2017

As a follow-up to ‘If’ published by Davido, the expectation was to see if he could surpass his previous record and the singer handled the pressure quite well.

From the moment the kiddominant synthesized the beat, it was immediately apparent that the joint would be fire. With a hook-hook and catchy phrases, Davido delivered a tune that spread like wildfire on the streets and in the clubs.

With more than 60 million Youtube views, also awarded platinum by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA), ‘Fall’ was the leading song in Nigeria and South Africa for more than ten weeks.

3. Aye – 2014

If there’s something Davido understands, then it’s the business side of the music, which is the right time to release songs.

Just a few days before the 14th of February or Valentine’s Day, which is celebrated around the world as a lover’s day. Davido released “Aye”, which tells the story of love even without wealth.

In a country where a large percentage live below the poverty line, this was their story and they immediately turned it into a hymn.

Aye reached number one on the big charts and was critically acclaimed by industry observers as Pitchfork rated it as “perhaps the sweetest song of devotion ever written”.

It also won several awards, including the prestigious Headies song of the year for 2014.

4. Skelewu – 2013

Nigerians love to dance and artists have taken advantage of this fact.

Dance raves such as “Galala”, “Suo” and “Yahooze” were transitional phases, and Davido scored another with “Skelewu”. Supported by a dance contest, he sent the whole country into a frenzy and the dance was supported not only by musicians, but also by football stars like Emmanuel Adebayor and Samuel Eto’o.

Davido fueled the legend of the song as he controversially recorded two different videos. Skelewu scored several nominations across the country, outperforming the charts.

5) Fia – 2017

By 2017, Davido was riding like a tire, and all the songs he released grew into big hit albums.

The song, released in late 2017, became an instant hit, with Davido tackling the drama he was dealing with at the time he had mysteriously killed three of his friends.

Fia has more than 35 million YouTube views since its release just over 6 months ago.

6). Dami Duro – 2011

Also from his debut album is the hit single Dami Duro, the second single of the album.

Davido, produced by Shizzi’s in-house producer and a catchy video by Capital boss Clarence Peters, confirms that he can not restrain himself when he’s in the groove.

The song, which has a hard beat and introduced Davido’s unique dance style, was voted the “hottest single of the year” at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards. The video was also used to introduce members of his HKN team, such as Sina Rambo and B-Red, and the now-popular “Ijo Baba Sina Rambo” to the dancing senator, who is his uncle.

7). Back then – 2011

“Back then” was Davido’s first single from his debut album “Omo Baba Olowo”, and it was also the artist’s breakout song that had just returned to the country.

With rapper, Naeto C, Davido announced his introduction to the party melody scene, which earned him the industry’s attention. “Back When” was the genesis and a solid basis for everything he has built.

The single earned him several awards, including the “Best Newcomer” at the 2012 Kora Awards.

8). Owo ni Koko – 2014

Released shortly before his 22nd birthday in 2014, the J Fem produced a single on a Friday night and immediately turned up at clubs over the weekend.

The song, which celebrates its prosperity and the beauty of his wife, is still critically regarded as one of his finest works to this day.

9). All of you – 2012

Another hit song by GospelOnTheBeatz. Davido tells the story of his team and how his crew is worse than the rest.

The singer also recognizes the gossip associated with his name, and praises industry veterans such as 2baba, P Square and D’Banj.

This was one of those songs that gave the artist a different narration, capturing a departure in his sound and the maturity he showed in the industry.

10). Humblesmith ft Davido – Osinachi Remix (2016)

In addition to the solo hits, Davido was also very impressive in terms of features that sometimes stole the headlines of the owner of the song.

After the success of his HumbleSmith breakout single Osinachi was successful, Davido turned to a remix and the result was critical to his career.

Davido was controversial at the time about his little mother Sophia and her uncle Dele Momodu, an entertainment mogul.

Osinachi’s remix provided the perfect opportunity to paint the colors of his anger, further supporting the spread of the song as it became a subject of discussion due to its verses.
